Job Summary
Supervise EVS/Laundry caregivers by making schedules, managing bi-weekly payroll, ordering supplies, and handling personnel issues. Teach staff on chemical usage, bed preparation, room cleaning, and floor maintenance while ensuring all areas remain clean and free of debris. Monitor biohazard and trash container removal, oversee laundry services, and maintain appropriate staffing levels through hiring and retention. Implement policies and procedures, train new caregivers, and report departmental problems to the Facility Manager. Take on-call for departmental needs and ensure hazardous waste management procedures are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High School graduate equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years supervisory experience
- Hazardous waste management procedures including emergency response and contingency plan implementation within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter
- Computer proficiency
- Must take on-call for departmental needs
- Must be flexible with scheduling and able to work as needed to cover the needs of the department
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of years (3) years laundry and/or environmental services experience preferred
