Job Summary
Maintain hospital floors by sweeping, mopping, burnishing, and extracting carpets while operating powered equipment safely. Clean walls, ceilings, windows, and high surfaces; change cubicle curtains and drapes as scheduled. Transport soiled linens to the loading dock, remove general and regulated waste to compactors, and sanitize collection bins. Perform room set-ups and breakdowns for meetings. Follow all safety and infection prevention protocols regarding disinfectant dilution and use. Work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays with a per diem schedule. High school diploma or GED preferred with 1-2 years of healthcare housekeeping experience.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in floor care or healthcare housekeeping
- Ability to safely operate and maintain powered cleaning equipment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal communication
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and hospital policies/procedures
- May work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
