Job Summary
Environmental Services Project Technician responsible for maintaining the hospital's physical environment at a high standard of cleanliness and infection control. Performs a full range of cleaning procedures across all departments, prioritizes multiple tasks with minimal supervision, and demonstrates competency in floor maintenance (tile, linoleum, carpet, wood). Knowledge of safe handling of medical waste (hazardous, regulated, infectious, recyclable, innocuous) and safe use of chemicals and equipment to meet established quality standards. Interaction with visitors, patients, and staff varies from limited to high; role requires self-direction and prioritization without specific guidance from supervisor. Must have license for operating required equipment. Required Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in environmental services in a healthcare or hotel setting
- experience as a project crew member from a professional office cleaning company will be considered
- applicable certification from a Vo-Tech school will be considered for a portion of experience
- demonstrated license for operating required equipment
