Job Summary
Direct Environmental Services operations at the Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center by assigning crew duties, creating daily assignment sheets, and ensuring tasks are completed during events and shifts. Monitor employee compliance with facility rules, safety guidelines, and MSDS protocols while inspecting work for conformance to standards. Submit maintenance requests for repairs, assist with staff training and counseling, and attend weekly and monthly safety meetings. Uphold operational procedures and service expectations to maintain a clean, safe, and guest-ready environment. This role supports the Environmental Services Manager in fostering a productive team culture.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1-2 years of custodial or Environmental Services experience
- Ability to work irregular hours, shifts that include nights, graveyard shift, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to regularly stand
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel equipment
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must work in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Must be able to be subjected to adverse conditions
