Job Summary
Perform floor care including bonnet cleaning, extraction carpet cleaning, mopping, scrubbing, buffing, and waxing floors. Disposes of waste properly, collects and distributes linen, and sets up rooms for meetings as assigned. Clean and outside areas surrounding the Center while practicing proper safety techniques and public relations. Report any employee, patient, or visitor injuries or accidents to the supervisor. Requires high school diploma, previous housekeeping or service industry experience, and ability to lift 25 to 55 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Previous housekeeping experience or other service industry experience
- Ability to clean patient rooms
- Basic computer skills
- Basic knowledge of floor care, carpet cleaning & equipment
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, family members, visitors and staff in the Center
- Must be able to bend, twist at waist, stoop & repetitive activity
- Climbing ladders
- Lifting of 25 to 55 lbs
- Walking and standing 35% to 75% of the time spent in activity
- Able to push and pull 25 to 50 lbs
- Reach above shoulder level or overhead occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- One year of housekeeping experience preferred; preferably in a healthcare setting
