Job Summary
Join Our Team as a Floor Care Specialist to maintain and shine floors across the facility. You will follow the maintenance schedule, perform deep clean and refinishing projects, and ensure safety and infection control standards. You’ll use electric and battery-powered floor care equipment, lift and move heavy objects, and work as part of the Environmental Services team to keep the facility spotless and safe. Expect 40 hours weekly on a 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM shift with training and competency assessment within 30-60 days. The role emphasizes attention to detail, customer-facing communication with staff, patients, and visitors, and a commitment to equal employment opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of experience in Environmental Services (healthcare/institutional preferred)
- ability to lift and carry more than 50 pounds
- familiarity with electric and battery-powered floor care equipment
- ability to read and understand cleaning chemical labels
- physical ability to sustain a full shift
- ability to complete training and competency assessment within 30-60 days
