Job Summary
Environmental Services (EVS) Technician responsible for daily cleanliness, safety, and operational efficiencies of Saint Louis Zoo facilities; duties include cleaning assigned zoo spaces, using brooms, mops, leaf blowers, vacuums, scrubbers, extractors, collaborating with internal departments, adhering to PPE and safety guidelines, following employee handbook and policies, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to work well in a team environment with subordinates, peers and superiors
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- A valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays and odd hours as needed
- All successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check and a drug test; drug test mandatory as safety-sensitive role
