Job Summary
Oversees environmental services, maintenance and housekeeping for the senior living community; recruits and develops staff; manages budgets; oversees building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators, kitchen); ensures compliance with laws and policies; directs capital projects and vendor negotiations; coordinates setup/breakdown for community events; maintains logs and disaster-preparedness records; engages with residents and families with hospitality-focused service; collaborates with teams and leadership to provide a safe, engaging living environment; requires associate degree or equivalent, experience with older adults, strong leadership and communication capabilities, and a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent training/certification with strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, elevators and kitchen systems.
- Ability to manage other personnel in the performance of maintenance tasks.
- Ability to prioritize maintenance projects.
- Experience working with older adults in senior living, long-term care, home health or other health care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy for residents, families and team members.
- Strong problem solving skills.
- Strong computer skills and ability to interact with a variety of electronic devices.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using the English language.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
