Job Summary
Environmental Services (Maintenance) Director responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the general operating maintenance, repair, and housekeeping of the community. Recruits, interviews, hires, and orients housekeeping staff; develops housekeeping schedules; performs general maintenance (light electrical, painting, carpentry); operates HVAC equipment; conducts daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment; oversees emergency drills and safety tours; maintains Emergency Preparedness Plan and trains associates; secures vendor contracts; maintains on-call status for emergencies; occasional weekend coverage as Manager on Duty. Requires three years of supervisory maintenance/housekeeping experience; proficient in Microsoft Office; strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures; healthcare/senior living environment experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Three (3) years’ experience in a maintenance/housekeeping supervisory role
- Knowledgeable of maintenance and housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel) with the ability to learn new applications
