Job Summary
Environmental Services Director leads and oversees housekeeping, laundry, sanitation, waste management, and infection prevention across the skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include directing daily operations of Housekeeping and Laundry, developing cleaning schedules and QA programs, ensuring compliance with CMS/OSHA/state health regulations, conducting inspections of resident rooms and common areas, managing staffing/training/performance evaluations, budgeting for supplies, coordinating environmental services during surveys and audits, collaborating with Nursing/Maintenance/Dietary/Administration to maintain a safe environment, and handling hazardous materials disposition. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent ( Associate's or Bachelor's preferred), 3+ years in environmental services/housekeeping/hospitality management, prior leadership in healthcare settings, knowledge of infection prevention and regulatory requirements, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic records. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of environmental services, housekeeping, or hospitality management experience
- Prior leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, healthcare, hospital, rehabilitation center, or long-term care setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention practices, CMS regulations, OSHA standards, and environmental safety requirements
- Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic recordkeeping systems
