Job Summary
Maintain assigned areas in an effective, responsible manner by cleaning public and non-public spaces to ensure they remain orderly and attractive. Operate floor maintenance equipment to perform repetitive duties such as polishing slot machines, cleaning washrooms, and vacuuming while carefully accounting for and storing all products. Complete accurate inspection reports on equipment, document malfunctions, and remain current on cleaning chemicals and safety procedures. Work independently or cohesively with a team, adhering to grooming policies and emergency protocols in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to stand, walk, and climb a six-foot ladder for an eight-hour shift.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable and dependable work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a busy, fast-paced work environment
- Able to operate floor maintenance equipment
- Able to perform essential duties that require physical work, lifting and pulling
- Able to walk and stand for prolonged periods (regular work shift is eight hours)
- Ability to climb a six-foot ladder
- Knowledge of cleaning supplies, chemicals, techniques and uses
- Ability to work independently and/or cohesively with a team while promoting good employee relations with co-workers
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals, such as sanitizers, disinfectants and aerosols
- Able to perform repetitive duties throughout a shift (polishing slot machines, cleaning washrooms, vacuuming)
- Proven customer service experience
- Demonstrate accountability and follow through on commitments
- Previous housekeeping, environmental service or cleaning experience
- Committed to learning and maintaining knowledge of cleaning supplies and equipment
