Job Summary
Environmental Services Associate responsibilities include cleaning patient rooms and providing cleaning support across departments to maintain a clean and safe hospital environment; tasks include discharge cleaning, cycle cleaning, office cleaning, exterior cleaning, replenishing dispensers, trash removal, and specialized cleaning such as scrubbing/stripping floors, carpet cleaning, wall washing, curtain cleaning, and handling biohazardous linens. The role supports Service Excellence initiatives and requires adherence to hospital safety standards and regulatory procedures. Works part-time day shift at Allegheny Valley Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum FIT testing may be required, but provided upon hire as needed
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Basic reading, writing and effective communication skills
- Ability to operate power equipment
