Job Summary
Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Leisure Vale Assisted Living in Glendale, CA. Responsibilities include cleaning all rooms in the designated area (furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets, equipment), maintaining the cleaning rota and weekly tasks, cleaning patients' bedrooms and en suite bathrooms with discretion, reporting issues to the Nurse Manager, managing laundry duties (emptying machines, collecting laundry, sending items to laundry or dry cleaning as appropriate), cleaning laundry machines, and returning bed linens and towels to storage. Requires ability to read labels and choose appropriate laundering methods; good English and communication skills; knowledge of Health and Safety within a Nursing Home; weekend availability. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred.
- Must be able to work on weekends.
- Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant experience in a facility preferred
- Good spoken and written English
- Good communication skills and ability to interact with patients and visitors
- An awareness of Health and Safety within the Nursing Home
- Must have the knowledge of the equipment and be able to quickly read labels and choose the most appropriate method of laundering.
