Environmental Services Assistants

Environmental Services Assistants will contribute to a safe, clean and welcoming hospital environment at St John of God Midland Private Hospital. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining wards, units and hospital areas in line with Infection Control and Occupational Safety and Health standards, removing soiled linen and rubbish, maintaining nonmedical consumables and cleaning imprest supplies, reporting maintenance issues, supporting ward/unit hygiene schedules, and working under the direction of the Manager Support Services and Team Leader Environmental Services. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of cleaning ability, a customer-focused approach, basic knowledge of chemical usage, understanding of manual handling, infection control and housekeeping protocols, and safe operation of cleaning equipment. Participation in Environmental Services meetings and adherence to workplace safety and security processes are expected, along with flexibility to undertake other duties as required to support hospital operations. We offer permanent full-time and part-time positions with salary range $61,043 - $63,223 pro rata, plus superannuation, salary packaging options, and a range of employee benefits.
