Job Summary
Conduct high-standard cleaning, linen, and waste handling in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures across patient wards, clinical spaces, and common areas. Safely operate cleaning tools and equipment while reporting faults to supervisors, ensuring appropriate signage is used to maintain a safe work environment. Use chemical products strictly per Safety Data Sheets and manufacturer guidelines. Maintain clean and safe designated spaces to support excellent customer service for caregivers, patients, and visitors. Shifts are rostered weekdays and weekends from 8:00am to 2:30pm. A Certificate III in Health Services Assistance and healthcare experience are highly regarded.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
- knowledge of safe manual handling techniques
- knowledge of basic cleanliness and hygiene standards
- strong understanding of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
- All caregivers employed by St John of God Health Care are required to be vaccinated from Influenza
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance will be highly regarded
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
