Job Summary
Environmental Services Assistant responsible for maintaining a clean hospital environment by cleaning patient rooms, nursing stations, waiting rooms, outpatient treatment areas, restrooms, offices, entrances, elevators, stairwells and other ancillary areas in accordance with department policies. Uses standard cleaning chemicals and equipment (disinfectants, glass cleaner, general purpose cleaner, dust mop, wet mop, dusters, vacuum). Requires High School graduate or equivalent preferred; no prior experience required; must have reliable transportation; strong English communication and interpersonal skills; basic computer knowledge; must be able to clean up unpleasant messes (blood, vomit, urine, etc.). Day shift; full-time role in Bellefontaine, OH.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation practices in health care facilities
- Previous experience not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer knowledge
- Able to use dust mop and wet mop
- Able to clean up unpleasant messes (blood, vomit, urine, etc.)
