Environmental Services Assistant

Environmental Services Assistant at Aurora Sinai Medical Center. Major responsibilities include cleaning patient care areas, surgical areas, restrooms, conference rooms, lobbies, offices, elevators, and stairwells; cleaning all environmental surfaces (ceilings, vents, walls, doors, furniture, beds, fixtures, windows); assisting with emergency spills; dusting and damp-mopping floors in patient and exam areas; replacing cubicle/window coverings; collecting recyclables, trash, and medical waste; preparing soiled linen for transport; sorting and stocking linens and supplies; delivering non-medical supplies; filling and cleaning dispensers; inventorying linens and cleaning supplies; reporting mechanical failures or unsafe conditions. Requires ability to follow instructions, work independently, follow department policies, basic computer skills, and good customer service; physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, and perform tasks while on feet for long periods.
