Environmental Services Aide - FT

Job Summary
Environmental Services Aide responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all facility areas on a regular basis, handling room transitions including washing beds, sweeping and mopping, trash removal, and equipment cleaning; completes linen procedures (washing, drying, ironing, folding) and interacts closely with residents and families. Requires conversational English, strong communication, confidentiality, and a positive team-oriented attitude. Preferred First Aid/CPR certification; must be able to stand for the shift and lift up to 50 lbs; must follow safety practices with cleaning chemicals and SDS/OSHA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to speak, read, and write conversational English
- Positive attitude and ability to work harmoniously with all
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and honor Resident’s Rights
- Effective communication with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Excellent attendance and work history
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift, and to push, pull, move and/or lift supplies and equipment, max. over 50 lbs
- Must be able to grasp, pull, push, twist, squat, walk, and use both hands as described on the Job Analysis sheet
- Must work with various cleaning chemicals and must comply with Blood-borne pathogen exposure policy
- Must have patience, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm handling difficult situations
- Familiarity with cleaning and disinfecting materials, SDS, OSHA safe practices
