Job Summary
Perform various cleaning tasks to maintain a safe, sanitary environment for patients, including sweeping, mopping tile and carpeted floors, dusting surfaces, and emptying trash cans. Clean bathroom fixtures, glass surfaces, and dining areas while changing soiled curtains and removing wax or dirt buildup in corners. Move furniture as needed to access behind and underneath items, turn mattresses, and sweep exterior walkways. Follow infection control standards, isolation techniques, and chemical safety procedures while safeguarding supplies and reporting equipment repairs. Participate in nursing center surveys, mandatory in-services, and continue education to maintain current certifications.
