Job Summary
Responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive hospital environment in Palomar Health Environmental Services. Performs floor and carpet care, collects trash and soiled linen, collects/stores/transports biohazardous waste, and orders/distributes/stocks clean linen. Maintains inventory of equipment and supplies to meet departmental needs. Works with a range of patients from neonates to psychiatric care, and follows policies, safety, infection control standards, and quality assurance programs. Requires English proficiency and basic computer skills; shift is in the evening. Position available in Poway, CA; provides full-time hours in a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0-6 months similar experience
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to perform essential functions
- Knowledge of standard office equipment and computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail)
