Job Summary
Environmental Services Worker II is responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining hospital facilities to ensure a safe, hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Duties include floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, waxing, shampooing), waste disposal (biohazardous to noninfectious), linen handling, spill cleanup, cleaning patient rooms and common areas, and maintaining logs. Requires 1-3 years of experience in environmental services or related hospital facilities work; CHEST or CHESP certification preferred. Part-time shift is 6:30am-3pm with every other weekend, and ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare setting; strong attention to detail and adherence to infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping, custodial work, or hospital facility maintenance
- Certification in Environmental Services or Healthcare Cleaning (such as CHEST or CHESP) preferred
