Job Summary
Follow verbal and written safety guidelines while performing required cleaning functions for designated work areas, including sterile zones like operating rooms and MRI suites. Document all daily assignments, manage hazardous and regular waste handling, and operate laundry equipment and waste processing machinery. Deliver supplies to correct locations, change curtains, and maintain proper PPE usage. Report equipment issues to appropriate personnel and engage with staff and patients professionally. Maintain record keeping and equipment storage while adhering to schedule flexibility for staff shortages. Requires one year of housekeeping experience, ability to lift 10 to 25 lbs daily, and proficiency with electronic devices.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of housekeeping and/or service-related field
- Floor care experience
- Able to lift/push/pull 10lbs to 25lbs daily
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service towards staff and patients
- Knowledge of electronic devices (computer, tablets, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, communicate and understand written instructions given in English
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to plan, initiate responsibilities and follow through with the minimum direction
- Strong communication skills, attitude, and attendance
