Job Summary
Perform required cleaning functions for designated work areas, including sterile zones like operating rooms and MRI suites, while operating laundry equipment and waste processing machinery. Document daily assignments, manage record keeping and equipment storage, and handle regular and hazardous waste. Deliver supplies to correct locations and change curtains as needed. Follow verbal and written safety guidelines, demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment, and report any equipment issues immediately. Engage with staff and patients professionally while maintaining flexibility for schedule changes or staff shortages.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of housekeeping and/or service-related field
- Floor care experience
- Able to lift/push/pull 10lbs to 25lbs daily
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service towards staff and patients
- Knowledge of electronic devices (computer, tablets, etc.)
- Ability to read, write, communicate and understand written instructions given in English
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must have the ability to plan, initiate responsibilities and follow through with the minimum direction
- Strong communication skills, attitude, and attendance
