Environmental Service Technician

Job Summary
Conduct daily cleaning of interior spaces, including nurses' stations, sleeping rooms, dining areas, restrooms, and offices. Prepare and serve meals to volunteers while ensuring compliance with GCP guidelines and social distancing protocols. Maintain elevators, empty trash bins, and manage linen distribution and laundry for clinic admissions. Review supply levels and report equipment failures or plumbing malfunctions to administration. Inspect incoming baggage for contraband and document removals. Work in a hazardous environment with high concentration, occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds, and coordinate tasks under strict deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, or GED (minimum)
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in cleaning commercial buildings
- Must have a good understanding of regulatory and industry standards for sanitizing and disinfecting methods
- Ability to read English and communicate basic requests/responses in English/Spanish
- Must be aged 18 years or over
- Not have been debarred by the FDA
Desired Qualifications
- Basic computer competency or skills (e.g. logging in, accessing browser, navigating web pages)
- Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment
- Ability to coordinate and prioritize job tasks for maximum efficiency
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Ability to communicate effectively with all personnel and volunteers
