Job Summary
Environmental Service Technician at Signature Health is responsible for maintaining a clean environment in assigned areas with a focus on quality and service excellence. Responsibilities include performing the 7 Step Cleaning Process, cleaning offices, patient/residents' rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, halls, and food service areas; using cleaning chemicals per manufacturer standards; operating and organizing cleaning equipment and materials; transporting waste and recyclables; replenishing supplies; moving furniture and setting up tables and chairs; notifying leaders of maintenance needs; and participating in safety meetings and hazard assessments while applying OSHA and related safety requirements. Flexible hours including evenings/weekends may be required; the role supports a full range of PPE and safety protocols and may involve light driving or movement of items as part of daily duties.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year experience in janitorial cleaning in a commercial environment
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
