Job Summary
Conduct patient room, clinical, and public area cleaning and disinfection across the medical center. Clean and disinfect all environmental surfaces, support linen service, and collect and transport waste using proper handling and disposal techniques. Operate industrial cleaning equipment including vacuums, mops, and trash compactors while wearing appropriate PPE. Review completed work to verify correct steps and follow safe work practices for all tasks. Perform duties primarily in the evenings from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, including every other weekend, as part of the full-time Environmental Services team.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Must be available for every other weekend
- Must be available for evenings 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
- Must be able to lift up to 14 lbs
- Must be able to reach overhead
- Must be able to kneel
- Must be able to squat
- Must be able to bend
- Must be able to push/pull
- Must be able to carry
- Must be able to mix chemicals
- Must wear appropriate PPE (Mask, booties, gloves, hairnet, gown and goggles)
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Institutional cleaning experience
