Job Summary
Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and surface disinfection throughout the office building. Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies, empty trash containers, and maintain cleanliness in shared spaces such as lobbies, elevators, kitchens, and conference rooms. Operate basic cleaning equipment safely and follow health, safety, and sanitation policies. Work independently with strong attention to detail and a customer service mindset. Located at the Topeka campus with hours from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
Required Qualifications
- Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and other potentially hazardous materials
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills and a customer service mindset
- Basic knowledge of proper use of cleaning supplies and operation of equipment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- GED or vocational training in commercial housekeeping
- One year previous work related experience
