Job Summary
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and changing linens. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, waiting rooms, restrooms, and public areas by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces. Clean and disinfect exercise equipment, mats, and gym surfaces to ensure a safe environment. Sanitize kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment according to food safety guidelines. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed. Properly dispose of trash, biohazardous waste, and recyclable materials while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including using personal protective equipment properly. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Physical stamina for tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Organizes and prioritizes tasks and projects, accurately completing job responsibilities within the specified time constraints
- Speaks and communicates English effectively in verbal and written format; writes legibly
- Reading and comprehension at the level necessary to perform job duties appropriately
- Works cooperatively with co-workers and other hospital employees
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospitality cleaning setting is desirable
