Job Summary
Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and changing linens. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, waiting rooms, restrooms, and public areas by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces. Clean and disinfect exercise equipment, mats, and other gym surfaces to ensure a safe environment. Clean and maintain staff offices, conference rooms, and break rooms. Sanitize kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment according to food safety guidelines. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the facility, stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed. Properly dispose of trash, biohazardous waste, and recyclable materials. Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies and equipment. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) properly. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple tasks
- Speaks and communicates English effectively in verbal and written format; writes legibly
- Reading and comprehension at the level necessary to perform job duties appropriately
- Works cooperatively with co-workers and other hospital employees
- Physical stamina for tasks that involve standing, bending, and lifting
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare or hospitality cleaning setting is desirable
