Job Summary
Environmental Scientist in Remediation sought to join AECOM's Environmental Remediation group in St. Louis, MO. The role entails field and office responsibilities, performing standard scientific work, detecting and solving problems using standardized procedures, conducting project phases for more experienced scientists, proposing analytical methods, providing advice within scope of scientific knowledge, and interpreting data to ensure regulatory compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. The candidate will work under general supervision with potential for growth, and must be flexible to extended hours and travel (regionally up to 50%). The position requires a Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or engineering (or related field) with at least 2 years of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to obtain background clearance. Preference is given to candidates with a Master's degree, strong communication and analytical skills, proficiency in scientific reporting, and capabilities in Microsoft Office, GIS, AutoCAD, and related tools; professional certifications and a willingness to work outdoors are also valued.
