Job Summary
Environmental Scientist III with 5-10 years of environmental consulting experience, based in Tampa, FL. Performs field tasks including groundwater sampling, soil investigations, monitoring well installations, and remediation system operations/maintenance. Works within regulatory programs (RCRA, CERCLA, petroleum, RBCA, brownfields, dry cleaning), supports EAR projects in the Southeast, coordinates with regulatory departments and contractors, manages budgets and schedules, and prepares deliverables such as site assessments and remedial action plans. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental/Civil Engineering, or Geology; PE or PG preferred/obtainable; proficient in MS Office; ability to work with clients and regulators; valid driver's license; background check; and preferred HAZWOPER certification. Salary commensurate with experience; benefits include flexible work environment and paid leave; US citizenship or equivalent status required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science; Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering; or Geology
- PE or PG required, or ability to obtain
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check; US Citizenship or naturalized citizen status
- Valid driver’s license
- Current or preferred 40-hour HAZWOPER certification or 8-hour annual refresher
