Job Summary
Coordinate field assessments of environmental issues and conduct research using primary data sources to analyze key themes and trends. Prepare technical correspondence, reports, work plans, and project specifications while managing project permitting activities and environmental risk management processes. Deliver small- or medium-scale projects, draft proposal responses for bid solicitations, and lead climate adaptation strategies for large-scale initiatives. Manage client relationships and oversee HSE performance against key indicators, taking action to resolve noncompliance. This mid-level role within GHD's Central Region Environmental businesses in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, requires 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation. Travel to client meetings is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
- 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
- Ability and willingness to travel client meetings
Desired Qualifications
- PE or PG will be highly regarded
- Project experience in federal contracts beneficial
- Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
- Ability work in a fast-paced environment
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus
