Job Summary
Coordinate field investigations to characterize and remediate cleanup facilities, collecting samples for laboratory testing and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Prepare technical correspondence, including data analytics reports, proposals, and bid solicitations, while analyzing problems to develop exploration programs with risk assessments. Manage relationships with clients and contractors, and follow health, safety, and environment policies to identify and mitigate workplace risks. Work within established project management plans to achieve specific goals, utilizing strong written and technical skills to deliver meaningful information. Join the CAR team in Seattle, WA, working three days a week in a hybrid model.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level in environmental engineering, environmental science or geology
- 3+ years of experience in related field
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Basic understanding of the Washington State Department of Ecology Model Toxics Control Act for site cleanups
- Experience in the technical delivery of contaminated site investigations and remediation, and environmental case closure
- Proven experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple projects while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment
- Must be organized and have strong written and technical skills
- Critical thinking and problem solving – ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem
- Commitment to safety utilizing a behavior based safety (BBS) culture in all aspects of the job
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
