Job Summary
Environmental Scientist, Geologist, Engineer or Hydrogeologist sought to join Langan’s collaborative team in New Haven, CT. The role focuses on site exploration activities including contaminated site investigation and remediation work, soil and groundwater sampling, vapor intrusion investigation, remedial investigation, design, implementation, and monitoring, pilot tests, data management, processing, evaluation, and report preparation. Responsibilities include field inspections and environmental investigations, sampling of air/soil/gas/groundwater and remediation of contaminated properties, assisting with field investigations, logging borings, data collection and recording, coordinating remediation activities with subcontractors, documenting results, and assisting with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, and environmental assessments. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology, 1+ years of experience, EIT certification or FE registration, strong communication and analytical skills, and a valid driver’s license with access to remote job sites. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology
- 1+ years of work-related experience
- Engineers must have EIT Certification, or current registration for the FE exam
- Strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities
- Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment
- Possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and reliable transportation access to remote job site locations
- Availability to work overtime as needed
