Environmental Scientist - Contaminated Land Management

Job Summary
Conduct contaminated land and groundwater investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapour sampling programs, while coordinating fieldwork activities and contractors to ensure safe, compliant delivery. Interpret environmental data to develop conceptual site models and prepare technical reports, assessments, and remediation documentation. Apply relevant legislation and standards to project delivery, assist with budget and schedule coordination, and contribute to proposal preparation. Mentor graduates and support a culture of safety and technical excellence across mining, petroleum, and industrial sites in New South Wales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Environmental Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2+ years' experience in contaminated land assessment, remediation or environmental consulting
- Experience undertaking contaminated land and groundwater investigations and field programs
- Understanding of contaminated land legislation, standards and regulatory frameworks
- Strong data interpretation and technical report writing skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple project tasks while maintaining quality, safety and budget requirements
- Experience supervising contractors, subcontractors or junior team members
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with clients and colleagues
- Commitment to safety, innovation, quality and technical excellence
