Job Summary
Environmental Scientist 2 – Project Scientist will collect soil, water, air, and/or building material samples, analyze data, draft technical reports, and ensure safe performance of project work. Expect approximately 80% field work and 20% office work, with opportunities to grow professionally. Requires BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field and 2+ years of environmental field sampling experience; familiarity with NJDEP/NYDEC/PADEP regulations; strong writing and communication skills; proficiency with field procedures; and a valid driver’s license. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred. Required Qualifications
- BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience with environmental field sampling and data collection
- Experience with local NJDEP, NYDEC, and/or PADEP regulations
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with field procedures
- Generate data of known quality and appropriate field notes
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred
