Job Summary
Implement corporate, field, and office ESH policies across assigned business units and project sites. Champion "The Layton Way" by delivering predictable outcomes for internal teams, external partners, and customers while upholding honesty, unity, safety, and quality. Establish and reinforce safety culture with Layton and subcontractor employees across multiple U.S. sites. Manage safety programs including CCIP and complex risk initiatives, reviewing audit summaries and injury statistics to identify risks and propose structured programs. Conduct incident review meetings to reinforce accident prevention and oversee monthly audit programs. Provide regulatory guidance, monitor workers' compensation issues, and assist leadership in monitoring new legislation. Implement training to support Safety 360 and ensure subcontractor OSHA/MSHA compliance. Interface with SBU leaders, site supervision, subcontractor management, and government agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of ESH experience required
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT, EPA regulations
- Skilled communicator—verbal and written presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Strong in problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and process improvement
- Strong interpersonal skills; proven ability to work with diverse teams and develop team members through coaching and delegation
Desired Qualifications
- Accreditations preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, ICRA
- Previous CCIP experience preferred
- Basic Spanish language communication preferred
- Industrial hygiene knowledge and best practices
