Job Summary

Own the development, maintenance, and governance of all Environmental, Safety & Health documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions. Translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise materials while establishing version control and document management processes. Lead technical writing efforts by interviewing subject matter experts, editing for accuracy, and developing supporting guides and training documentation. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to coordinate review cycles, manage approval workflows, and drive communication strategies for new programs. Monitor document effectiveness against regulatory changes and support internal and external audits by demonstrating full document control compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Technical Communications, English, Engineering, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in technical writing, document management, ESH, quality systems, regulated industries, or a related discipline
  • Experience supporting Environmental, Health & Safety management systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or similar regulatory and management system frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience writing technical policies, procedures, and management system documentation
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional document review and approval processes
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience working within document management systems and version control processes
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with change management and organizational communications
  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Confluence, document control software, or enterprise content management systems
  • Experience supporting DoD manufacturing or energetics regulated environments, AS 9100, ISO 9001, and Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Natural tendency towards challenging the status quo to find new and novel ways to improve EHS management systems
  • A person who leans into challenges instead of saying 'no' and walking away
