Job Summary
Plan and oversee field activities for soil and groundwater remedial investigations across petroleum, retail gasoline, and utility sites in New Jersey. Prepare technical documents, including Site Investigation, Remedial Investigation, and Remedial Action reports, while analyzing and entering environmental data for contaminants like chlorinated compounds and PFAS. Manage laboratory samples, field equipment, and subcontractors performing sampling or construction activities. Ensure quality execution of tasks and maintain participation in Kleinfelder's safety culture. This hybrid role requires two days in the Hamilton, NJ office. Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in environmental science or geology with 4-8 years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, geology, or related discipline
- 4-8 years of experience in environmental work
- Soil and/or ground water sample collection experience
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience with preparing regulatory reports, Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports
- Experience with various contaminants including chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS compounds, and metals
- Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow direction and work independently, as well, in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
- This hybrid position is available in the Hamilton, NJ office. Candidates must be in person at least two (2) days per week.
Desired Qualifications
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification
