Environmental Remediation Project Manager

Job Summary

Manage environmental remediation projects by directing data analysis, guiding site closure strategies, and collaborating on technical discussions while adhering to Quality Management System standards. Interact with state agencies to develop risk-based remediation goals, formulate client solutions, and participate in performance reviews. Drive business performance by assisting with proposal development, maintaining sales pipeline accuracy, and resolving project resourcing or invoicing challenges. Build trusting client relationships, coordinate staff assignments, and perform local field visits to promote health and safety stewardship.

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS within any Engineering, Business, Environmental Science Fields of study
  • four years of relevant work experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Ability to travel for on-site meetings and to develop client relationships
  • Valid Driver's License
  • US citizenship or permanent residency
  • in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location

Desired Qualifications

  • 10+ years overall professional experience
  • PG or PE
  • Verifiable experience in prominent roles performing and managing investigation/remediation of chemical / industrial / refining sites
  • Previous leadership and/or management experience
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Master's Degree a plus in Geology, Engineering, Science or related field
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Superior communication skills (writing, editing, and reporting) for a wide variety of audiences
  • Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery
  • Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
  • Strong project management skills and a strategic perspective
  • Excellent business analytics and organizational skills preferable
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong understanding and has led professional teams in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies
  • Applicants with verifiable experience in technical roles performing and managing investigation/cleanup of contaminants of concern are highly preferred
