Environmental Project Manager/Senior Environmental Professional

Job Summary
Mid-career environmental professional/project manager sought to lead and grow environmental services in Virginia. Responsible for managing Phase I ESAs, Phase II investigations, site characterization and remediation, hazardous materials surveys, and construction oversight; conduct fieldwork including sampling of soil, groundwater, soil gas, and building materials; prepare proposals, work plans, closure and technical reports; mentor junior staff; collaborate with clients and regulators; support local business development. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5-10 years in environmental consulting; advanced licensure (PG/PE/CHMM/REM/CEM) and OSHA HazWoper, asbestos/lead certifications are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering, Earth/Physical Sciences, or a related field
- 5-10 years of experience in environmental consulting
- Advanced degree and/or licensure (PG, PE, CHMM, REM, CEM)
- OSHA 40- Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Asbestos and Lead inspector certifications
- Prior Virginia Voluntary Remediation Program and/or Maryland/D.C. Voluntary Cleanup Program experience
- Prior project management experience is preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate
