Job Summary
Manage NYSDEC Spill projects, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and Brownfield Cleanup Program sites including characterizations, remedial investigations, and design work. Conduct cost estimating, proposals, invoicing, and client management while supervising contractors and drillers. Prepare and review reports, organize field data, and mentor junior engineers and environmental scientists. Maintain open communication with clients and regulatory agencies, ensuring project execution adheres to safety and QA/QC policies. This role requires 8-16 years of experience in environmental consulting and offers training within a multi-disciplinary team of architects and engineers.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering (Chemical or Environmental), Geology or Environmental Science
- NY State Licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist
- 8-16 years of experience managing Phase II ESAs and Brownfield Cleanup Program projects
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environmental consulting team environment
- Ability to work within a multi-disciplined group of professionals
- Strong communication skills (active listening, written, and verbal)
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Highly motivated, with excellent client service skills and a positive attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Valid NYS driver's license, lean driving record, and reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience with assessing feasibility/cost and detailed design for excavation and off-site disposal projects, in-situ chemical injections (oxidant and reductant approaches), sub-slab depressurization systems, and other remedial systems
- Prior experience with environmental investigations and remediation at E-Designation projects
- Federal experience
- NY State Licensed Professional Engineer or Professional Geologist
