Job Summary
Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental investigation and remediation projects, primarily in New Jersey, while leading technical teams and serving as the primary client contact. Supervise staff, assign resources, and oversee report preparation to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to quality standards. Lead project planning, execution, and budgeting; track performance against financial goals and review complex site characterizations and remedial action plans. Evaluate subsurface data for soil, vapor, and groundwater to support remediation strategies and prepare regulatory strategies aligned with state and local policies. Conduct performance reviews and lead team meetings to support staff development and workload management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5–10+ years of relevant experience, including investigation, remediation, reporting, and client/project management
- Strong working knowledge of NJ environmental regulations, including the NJDEP Technical Regulations and accompanying guidance documents
- Proven experience authoring and reviewing complex technical documents and reports
- Demonstrated success in managing clients, project budgets, and personnel
- Skilled in strategic thinking, problem-solving, and maintaining long-term client relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) license is a plus but not required
- Experience with business development and proposal writing is a strong plus
