Job Summary
Manage orphaned oil and gas well plugging efforts from identification through quantification and remediation, overseeing external contractors, monitoring safety protocols, and adapting to environmental conditions. Lead emissions quantification field work, coordinate cross-functional teams, and advance multiple projects through verification and crediting via documentation collection. Process analytical data, build models, and develop standard operating procedures for measurement equipment and field operations. Research technical and regulatory contexts to support carbon protocol development and communicate findings in reports and presentations. Interface with internal partners, contractors, landowners, and regulators to secure permits and fulfill reporting requirements while maintaining compliance across all activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- Professional experience in the oil and gas industry
- 3-5 years of experience in a field-based operations role
- Demonstrated ability and experience to project manage multiple concurrent workstreams and resources
- Experience performing data analysis and building simple models in Excel or other tools
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Willingness to travel to various field sites
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
- Ability to work in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Willingness to travel to the field and other locations as needed
- Located within close proximity to a major airport

- Experience managing field-based contractors
- Hands-on experience with chemical or analytical equipment
