Job Summary
Assist with development of deliverables including construction documents, plans, cost estimates, and specifications for stream restoration, living shoreline, coastal engineering, and water resources infrastructure projects. Perform field data collection and studies, including stream assessment, monitoring, TMDL studies, watershed assessments, drainage area delineations, and BMP inspections. Independently develop design reports, mapping, and calculations while analyzing engineering data and assisting with Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) models. Lead periodic construction oversight and inspection for environmental projects under the direction of Senior Engineers. Requires a Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Professional Engineer or EIT status, and 5-8 years of experience in ecosystem restoration and coastal engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer or EIT
- 5-8 years experience with the design and implementation of ecosystem restoration projects (stream restoration, floodplain restoration, wetland creation)
- 5-8 years experience with the design and implementation of coastal engineering projects including living shorelines
- 5-8 years experience with other related water resources projects such as BMP designs, outfall restoration designs, dam removals, urban stormwater
- AutoCAD fluency
- Microstation fluency
- Regular attendance at the Owings Mills office
- Full-Time employment status
- Completion of a criminal background check
