Job Summary
Conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with ASTM standards and EPA regulations, including site reconnaissance, visual inspections, and historical land use investigations. Analyze environmental records and regulatory agency files to assess contamination risks, then draft clear, concise ESA reports with findings and recommendations. Prepare supporting documentation such as site maps, figures, appendices, and photographic logs, and may collect limited samples when necessary. Communicate with clients and property owners to coordinate access, collaborate with project managers to ensure timely deliverables, and track project timelines and budgets. Maintain current knowledge of environmental regulations and participate in training sessions. This role is in-office in the Americas, Europe, and beyond, with a salary range of $55,000 to $75,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, or other related field
- 2+ years writing Phase I environmental site assessments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel for field work
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Curiosity, motivation, and a desire to learn
- Ability to work on projects concurrently
- Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
- Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
