Job Summary
Lead environmental compliance for Natural Gas Pipeline operations by managing field inspections, coordinating permitting, and leading internal audits. Independently drive regulatory engagement, resolve complex applicability issues, and ensure corrective action closure while protecting business outcomes. Develop compliance tools, train new users on systems, and negotiate with consultants to maintain competitive service levels. Represent the company in agency negotiations and emerging regulatory committees. Requires 6-10 years of experience in environmental compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in environmental, natural science, engineering preferred
- 6 -10 years related experience in environmental compliance
- Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations and standards and their applicability to operations
- Ability to analyze, research, compile, and prepare permit applications, logs, reports, and correspondence and company responses to agency requests
- Ability to evaluate, research, and interpret governmental regulations, equipment performance manuals, regulatory agency guidance and instructions, reports, correspondence, and company policies and procedures
- Ability to pay attention to details
- Ability to apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistics
- Ability to interact, advise and communicate effectively, exchange information/provide instructions, conduct verbal presentations
- Ability to develop communications utilizing fundamental technical writing skills
- Ability to present training materials
- Ability to utilize office equipment including computers and applicable job related software, including Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to operate tools/equipment
- Valid driver's license
- Travel to other locations required
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects occasionally (up to 10 pounds of force)
- Ability to stand occasionally
