Job Summary

Lead a team of ten scientists and engineers on technical environmental projects, including contaminant site investigation, risk assessment, and remediation. Manage project performance, budgeting, schedule adherence, and profitability while overseeing safety, quality, and compliance for deliverables. Build a client portfolio by securing repeat business and winning new accounts through relationship management with clients and regulatory personnel. Mentor early career staff in project management, cost control, and career development while delegating tasks to senior personnel. Prepare technical work plans, reports, and cost-benefit analyses, and drive vehicles to client sites as needed. This role supports business development and practice growth within the Northwest Operation for a firm ranked among top environmental engineering design firms.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), engineering (environmental, civil, or chemical engineering), or a related subject
  • At least 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience
  • Demonstrable track record of successful client management and business development
  • Excellent technical leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
  • Detailed understanding of USEPA regulations
  • Valid U.S. driver's license
  • Satisfactory driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in environmental science, earth science, engineering, or a related subject
  • Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.)
  • A minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in Alaska
  • Collaborative leadership style with strong communication skills and executive presence
  • Thorough understanding of Alaska DEC regulations
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
  • Health & Safety training
  • Medical monitoring training
  • Client-driven drug and background testing
