Job Summary
Environmental Manager responsible for preparing the Landfill budget, overseeing all personnel and supervising Environmental Technicians, managing permitting and regulatory compliance, coordinating permit applications and site expansion/modifications, ensuring regulatory inspections are addressed, and providing input on acquisitions and financial tracking for construction/cell development, closure, and ongoing operations. Role includes coordinating with corporate office, regulators, consultants, and investors; tracking monthly soil data and other status reports; and maintaining compliance with environmental regulations across air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling, with emphasis on project management, cross-functional collaboration, and cost control.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in landfill engineering or environmental compliance in air, water, and solid waste
- Thorough knowledge of environmental regulations relating to air, water, solid waste, and material recovery/recycling
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
