Environmental Manager

Job Summary
Track updates to federal, state, and local legislation, including new regulations and requirements. Manage all aspects of compliance and ensure environmental standards are followed daily, weekly, and monthly. Prepare reports on compliance and standards for internal and external distribution. Implement a comprehensive Environmental Management Program (EMP) and Environmental Management System (EMS) while partnering with the client. Analyze the cost/benefit of implementing projected sustainability measures and monitor the sustainability program to ensure environmental objectives are met.
Required Qualifications
- adequate environmental training
- minimum of three years of environmental experience and training in air quality management
- underground storage tank management and monitoring
- hazardous materials management
- stormwater and water pollution control management
- Registered Environmental Manager Certificate (REM)
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
- Ability to prepare budgets and conduct cost-benefit analysis
- Analyze the cost/benefit of implementing projected sustainability measures
- Prepare reports for internal and external distribution
- Monitor and track the sustainability program to ensure the company is accomplishing environmental objectives
- Good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Proficient Computer Skills –Microsoft Office Suite (PPT proficiency required)
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong technical expertise
- Must have superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Must be subject to a pre-employment drug test and background check after receiving a conditional offer of employment
